Please find the composition, connection & circuit regarding YDK Shutter Operators.

1. The Composition of Shutter Operator

1. Slat : for fire-protection & security
2. Bottom bar : kinds of finishing materials attached the bottom of shutter
3. Barrel shaft : pipe axis winding slat
4. Lintel : It is attached to the bottom of box or ceiling for finishing materials.
5. Shutter box : for blocking shaft winding parts
6. Shutter operator : the motor to move the shutter up and down by electric power
7. Push button switch : the control switch of the shutter operator
8. Guide rail : the rail to induce the slat of the shutter
9. Width : an opening’s width
10. Height : an opening’s height
11. Push roller : the roller to prevent bending of shutter slat
12. Limit switch : the switch to fix the position of top & bottom
13. Emergency switch : the device to prevent damage or loss during abnormal operation of shutter

1. Slat weight calculation method
  kg = slat’s height(H, m) x slat’s width(W, m) x slat’s unit weight(kg/㎡) x 1.2
  # slat’s height : slat length from the state rolled up to the center of the shaft rolled up
  # slat’s width : the length of the slat’s max. width

2. Selection method
  a. Please calculate ‘kg’ by ‘slat’s height’ & ‘slat’s width’ base on the Table 1.
  b. Please select the shaft applicable to ‘kg’ & ‘slat’s width’ in the Table 1.

9. The method of calculating wind pressure

How to calculate it!

F= 9.375 X 10 squared. V squared F=wind pressure(kg/㎡) V=speed(m/sec.)
a. In case of the building inside, 20kg/㎡ wind pressure should be applied for finding the max. allowable inside width of the slat.
b. In case of the outside, the wind pressure should be calculated by the max. wind speed of the installed site and then please find the max. allowable inside width of the slat in the above table.
c. If the value you found is off the point, please pierce as many as being off the point.

4. The shutter operator connection

1 phase 220V for 150, 250, 300, 400, 600

Remarks
The above circuit is the right type connection. You need to change the red wire to blue wire if it is the left type. Please replace the 2 power lines if the shutter operator would not work after connecting power. It may be due to the reverse phase preventing device in case of 3 phases.
